Many women feel that the size of their breasts affects their self confidence. Breastfeeding can cause your breast to shrink or lose their shape, and breast enlargement operation (which is also known as breast augmentation or breast implants) could be the answer to your problems.

Breast implants are designed to make your breasts larger, firmer and fuller. Breast implants are available in different of shapes, types and sizes to suit everyone’s body and figure .Breast implants are made from an outer layer of silicone, which can be filled with silicone gel or salt water which is also known as (saline). Breast enlargement can take several weeks to heal so you need to book time off work so that you can recover at home or in a hospital home. Your surgeon will also advise you to wear a special supportive bra in the first few weeks after surgery this is designed to insert your breast implants.

You will also find some scarring from the cuts after breast enlargement, although the scars will  be hidden away from sight. Sometimes the scares can be along the crease of your breasts. Your surgeon should discuss this with you prior to the operation if you have any questions ask before the operation.

The chance of complications following breast augmentation depends on the type of operation and other factors such as your general health and your consultant surgeon will explain how the risks apply to you. If you have any medical conditions or are taking any medication then tell the surgeon before surgery.
