Here are some of the Best man's duties for you to think about.

Best man's duties:

Your main duties don't start until the day its self, but there are still things that need to be done beforehand.

Here is some of the things you need to do:

Organise the Stag night this is your main task, and one you won’t forget about
Attend prenuptial parties in the couple's honour
Arrange (and pay for) your own wedding attire, this includes going to fittings, if the bride has requested that you all match.
Make sure the groom has the tickets and passport for the honeymoon.
Run errands for the groom, if he is busy helping his wife to be with the plans
Help co-ordinate arrangements for out of town guests.

Here are some of the duties you will do on the big day:

Get yourself and the groom to the church or venue on time.
Make sure the other ushers are there, too.
Help the groom get ready and finish any packing.
Hold payment envelopes for Officiant, Musician, caterer, and anyone else that's going to need. paying on the day, and make sure the people get paid.
Hold the marriage licence
Don't forget the rings
Witness the signing of the marriage licence
Help the Bride and Groom into the car and make sure all guests have some transport to the reception and home after.
Pack the car the Bride and Groom will use to leave the reception with their luggage.
Make a Speech at the Reception
Dance with the Maid of honour, this is one you will dream of doing
Make sure the happy couple get away in time for their flight.
Return any hired clothing (Yours and the Groom's) after the reception.

Always talk to the bride and groom about any fears you may have and if you don’t feel comfortable doing something there is others involved in the wedding plans who will be able to help.
