Warming up, this is an essential aspect when it comes to using the gym, your muscles and tendons need to be prepared for any physical activity, without doing any you could find you are putting yourself at serious risk.  So take 10 minutes and remember your muscles need a warning.

As well as warming up you should take some time to cool down, simple stretches after a workout will aid muscle recovery and help reduce the risk of stiffness and aches associated with working out.

Every gym should have an instructor, make sure you ask the appropriate questions, never be shy, that’s what they are there for.  The most important thing is to remember to be safe and use the equipment wisely.
