There are plenty of ways to control your diet and disperse of a few bad habits. Take the time to have at least two nights a week away from any alcohol, choose drier wines over the slightly sweeter options and only drink single measures of spirits, mixed with a low calorie alternative.
Not only is alcohol a calorie nightmare in itself but it makes you relax and more likely to scoff at those crisps or peanuts at the bar! Which is not the way forward when watching your weight? Salt is an addictive ingredient and once you start munching you can’t stop, so swap that crisp bowl for a healthy alternative, go for low salt pretzels, unsalted nuts or Japanese rice crackers
By eating a healthy balanced diet you will see a development in your weight loss, so ditch the butter in your jacket spud and try a healthy alternative such as scooping out the filling and adding a generous dollop of Greek yoghurt or fromage frais with fresh chives, all the taste and far less calories.
Just remember don’t cut all the bad things just swap them for a healthy alternative on occasions and maybe you might just stick to a healthier diet and benefit from loosing those few extra pounds that may have crept on. Good luck!
